Busy to Lonely With Just One Blink

 Most days it’s easy

But some days it hard

I work and write

Trying to be the best me I can be.

I work on my career 

Expanding my horizons 

To the next tier.

I work on my poetry

Hoping I can post enough 

That my work is liked 

Both far and near.

So busy I stay 

Too busy to notice

The lonely that creeps in.

So when it hits hard

The lonely 

It breaks my heart

But no time shall I waste

On a another dream

That will never be

Made to be real

Made to be true

Sometimes love

It isn’t meant for you.

Beautiful flowers

Like this beautiful day

The glowing beauty

Is what you choose to see.

So if it’s dark and gloomy

Close your eyes

And open your mind

To the beauty of this life.

This flower you loved so swell

You made her shine with color

Brighter than the sun.

Now a full grown flower 

Not only has she bloomed

But she has blossomed fully

To show this world love in return.

I still sit here

Not able to say

Goodbye to the woman

Who made me today.

Selfish and shameful

I know it is to say

But I just want 

To grab on

And hold on 

For one more day.

My eyes come open

But oddly with so much pain.

Some days are good

Most days are great

But some days

The pain is more than You can take.

On the good days

You don't pace yourself

Because you are not so sure

Of when the next day will be

That the pain will escape.
