Didn’t Just Survive But Thrived
It is so strange
Looking back now
You see you told me
You didn’t know how
That before you
I managed to survive.
You told me
That without you
I wouldn’t make it
Through this life.
So here we are
In the present day
Almost ten years later
And do you see
What I did create?
I life for me
With hopes and dreams
Success reigns true
In this life
Where I didn’t need you.
Stories you can say
To tell people I was to blame
But time tells truth
Look at where you are
Then where I am too.
